Smartrick's 2020 is finally over *End of Year Watchlist *
A few companies and market events to be on the lookout for December and Beyond
Welcome back to another Smartrick’s Picks
Before I get into the list of companies and situations I’ll be watching closely over the next couple of months I want to say thank you to everyone who has made Smartrick’s Picks happen this year. I started this project midst Covid-19 back in July. I would’ve never thought I’d have nearly ~3500 follows on Twitter, 1000 subscribers on this page, and nearly 1 million views a week on my Twitter Feed. Thank you for the support, thank you for the hundreds of conversations I’ve had with complete strangers on the internet, and thank you for this money we all about to get.
Let’s get to the report, I will talk about the following companies/events:

Ideanomics (IDEX)
Before we get into December and beyond lets recap reporting

A Second Look at the Hindenburg Report. (Debunking Hindenburgs Short Report)

Update:
Since the last report of the leaked truck image, a lot has happened for Ideanomics.
Solec
trac
Solectrac is the first North American company to enter the $12B US tractor market with its zero-emission electric tractors for agriculture and utility operations. Ideanomics has not only invested once but twice in this company. IDEX’s stake in the company is now 24% with a company that has high growth potential, especially with IDEX’s Chinese partners to include CATL. The company put out the guidance that the electric farming market is a potential $75B market of the future. Solectrac isn’t John Deere but for an investment of ~$2.5 million, this has loads of potential.
CEO Steve Heckeroth’s E-tractor patent
Timios
IDEX announce a definitive agreement to acquire Timios Holding a California-based real estate company for $40 million. The company already has $60 Million YTD revenue which will look great on the books for Q4 Earnings. The company has stated that the acquisition of Timios is to boost its Ideanomics Capital division.
Timios has been in business since 2008 and will look to use some of IDEX’s fintech products to enhance some of its business operations.
Deliveries
2020 H2 deliveries are something that has been a hot topic for investors, for a company that has a large outstanding order book when are we gonna start to see some of these gaudy numbers? So far we’ve seen primarily taxi numbers that have been slowly trickling out since the summer. CEO Alf Poor talked about bus financial pools opening up in Q4 starting with 13 bus conversions, add mining trucks from operations in Inner Mongolia and revenue will start to skyrocket.
Coming up for IDEX
SPAC-ulation and 6 vehicles
CEO Alf Poor hasn’t been shy when talking about competition like NKLA, WKHS, and HYLN. Nor has the term SPAC been ignored in webcasts over the last few months, and with emails from management to investors circulating that 6 vehicles will be in North America before the end of the year for Medici Motor Works how will this happen?
My thought is SPAC merger with another company and if this report has any truth to it Yuntong Holdings (CTIB) may be in play for the announcement. Let me explain why
MEG partner Golden Concord Holdings Limited (GCL) (press release) who owns 49.99% of MEG operations has been working on their own NEV operations outside of Ideanomics. In 2018 GCL signed a partnership with Japanese Conglomerate Mitsui Co. to collaborate on electric vehicles. The companies would work together in Inner Mongolia to develop these vehicles. The question I now needed to figure out is what company are they working with to do this? Or what presence does GCL or Mitsui have in that region?
Above are listed Inner Mongolia car manufacturers although the Baotou Benz factory looks like a good fit with IDEX links to Daimler ties I like a different route with CTIB.
Why CTIB?
Look I get it, when you look at CTIB as they are you see a $10 million market cap company that sells balloons to Walmart and Dollar General. But if you look a little bit deeper you’ll see my connection.
1.) This post where CTIB and Yunhong International Chairman brags about Medici Motor Work’s semi. We now know that this is confirmed by management to be the first MMW truck off the assembly line
Also, let’s look at the dollar amount from this post
The Chairman brags about purchasing this “project” for $1.87B USD. (remember this)
2.) Yunhong International has a SPAC registered with NASDAQ under the ticker ZGYHU. The amended S/1 has some pretty interesting language in it.
The filing mentioned investment vehicles?!?!?! Before you get too excited the term “investment vehicles” doesn’t necessarily mean vehicles like vroom vroom but (link)
Yunhong already owns multiple solar and new energy tech companies throughout China and could be looking to combine or merge entities into this SPAC.
Final word: I don’t know all of the pieces of the puzzle but there are some that I can’t move away from. For example, why did CTIB’s chairman have the same photo/video of the leaked video of the MMW truck? Something is afoot here so be on the lookout.
Soletrac event
December 10th Solectrac has an investors webcast that may be talking about the new tractor model that is set to be released in early 2021.
Compliance
Some of us May IDEX holders will remember what happened last time the NASDAQ gave us compliance will history repeat itself?
Bonus Info - Hyundai
I still believe Hyundai has something to do with the Medici spin-off.
Could it be an investment like we saw with CNH Industrial’s $250 million into NKLA?
Or do we see a partnership like they have with Hyundai’s subsidiary Hyundai Keifo and Treelectik?
A merger with Hyzon Motors is still on the table (less likely) Hyzon and Hyundai partnership with Toyota and others.
Or just maybe has something to do with Hyundai’s JV with Aptiv? Motional the autonomous driving company gear towards taxies and Semi trucking applications. Valued at 4 billion USD has a shop set up in Nevada. (Press Release)
Ideanomic’s new SIC for auto manufacturing is incorporated in NV? Hmmmmm
Foresight Auto LTD (FRSX)
Another favorite of mine that I think is poised to have a big 2021 as the company continues to test its Quadsight and Eye-Mobile tech. Prior reports before I update you:
Chapter 3: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
Part IV: Pioneering C-V2X in Japan
Update
Since the last update in late August, FRSX hasn’t done anything too big to excited about but we come closer to the execution of sales. However, the biggest piece of news since late summer is the integration of Nvidia’s Jetson Xavier chip and FRSX’s technology.
Nvidia’s Jetson chip is a developer’s chip designed for autonomous driving and other AI application like robotics. Chinese EV manufacture Xpeng Motors (XPEV) actually uses this chip in its SAE level 3 driving capabilities.
Potential Catalysts in 2021
Elbit Systems
Elbit Systems Ltd. is an Israel-based international defense electronics company engaged in a wide range of programs throughout the world. Elbit produces Military aircraft (F16), helicopters, UAVs, land vehicles, and signals based intelligence products.
Elbit posted $1.07 billion in revenue in Q2 with $10.8 billion in backlogged orders with customers to include Israeli Defense Forces and the US Army. FRSX and Elbit have a partnership in place where FRSX will tailor its products to Elbit’s needs. So any update on orders or development would be a big deal for FRSX. Elbit System’s Market Cap $5B USD
FLIR deal
Same as Elbit systems, FRSX signed a strategic partnership to become a member of thermal by FLIR. Many believe this is FLIR trying to use FRSX technology in border surveillance tech. If FRSX’s tech is added to the highly anticipated Ripsaw watch for a rip straight to $5 dollars.
Bonus FLIR - FLIR and FRSX started to test its technology on FLIR’s EST solutions to help track COVID isolating 6 symptom characteristics. As of November 4th, the company has expanded this testing into Japan.
Railvison
FRSX subsidiary Railvison has already filled ~3.5 million euros worth of autonomous braking systems to Multibillion-dollar company Knorr Bremes. Will we see more?
Japan
Japan the world’s 3rd largest auto market has been a hot spot for FRSX over 2020, not only did they sign a deal with Cornes Technologies (one of the oldest and largest clearinghouses in Japan) but started to test its subsidiary’s (Eye-Net Mobile) technology. I truly believe that the two companies test piloting Eye-Net’s C-V2X tech are Pioneer and NTT Docomo. If that becomes reality FRSX SP soars!
Quadsight sales
So far the company has sold 11 prototypes to companies all over the world. I have speculated on a few possible customers in prior reports. However, since the last purchase, this summer FRSX has upgraded its flagship product twice.
1st upgrade: Patent for automatic calibration of Stereo sensors.
2nd Upgrade: Nvidia Jetson Xavier AGM integration
Final word
This start-up has a lot in the works and if you’ve been following this company they have no rhyme or reason for when they drop PR. Too many big deals potentially in the pipeline to ignore these guys going into 2021.
December Dates
Here are a few specific dates I’ll be looking at for price action
December 3rd - GMHI Lumineer Merger
Dip and rip like SPAQ? Lumineer has some seriously cool tech some would say they’re the closest competitor to FRSX in what they do.
December 3-4 House votes on Marijuana bill
Although this still needs to get through a Republican Senate with Biden taking office I expect weed to finally be legalized in the United States. Sending SPY to an all-time high of 420 (wouldn’t that be something) in 2021. Companies that I will be watching during this time are
ACB - Aurora Cannabis Inc (Canada)
ACB already has a strategy to enter the US market once legalization happens.
TRLY - Tilray (Canada)
Another large Canadian company that would capitalize on legalization in the US. The company already has a substantial presence in the CBD market in the US and will look for more.
PUGE - Puget Technologies / Qest Acquisition Corporation (US)
This one is an odd one, Cannabis company HQ’d in Florida recently acquired by Qest Acquisition Corp with the speculation of a merger into an American cannabis company. Qest has ties to both Colorado and Nevada (both rec legal states) Gonna keep an eye on this one.
Others to consider
SNDL - Sundial Growers Inc (Canada)
GCAN The Greater Cannabis Company, Inc (US)
December 10th - Solectrac webcast + FDA vaccine approval?
Pizer is set to get a ruling on December 10th from the FDA on its vaccine and approval will in my mind will send the market to a new high, especially with Moderna’s ruling to follow just 1 day later. However inverse will do the same looking to play some SPY options around this time.
Other Smartrick Picks
Pivotal Investment Corporation - PIC (XL Fleet)
XL Fleet with a $1 billion evaluation is another SPAC that has caught my eye as of late, as pickup trucks are the number 1 sold vehicle in the US. PIC has a lot of competition in this space to include NKLA’s Badger, Tesla’s Cybertruck (so ugly), Lordstown (LORD).
However XL fleet is unique in that they do not manufacture vehicles but their business is installing their proprietary electrical drive units into pre-existing fossil fuel pick-ups. This company makes money now, no need to fundraise money for a factory *cough cough* NKLA nor does it need its own designs as it swaps pre-existing drive trains.
Elys Game Technology Corp (ELYS) a.k.a the stock formerly known as NWGI
Elys Game Tech is a sleeper pick for 2021 as just like retail investing has become a new American past time so has sports betting. With the rise of companies like DKNG and PENN, this company at only ~$45 million market cap is crazy undervalued.
ELYS headquartered in Canada is just beginning its move into the United States starting with Washington D.C. with plans to go nationwide. They just hired a new CEO in Matteo Monteverdi who has a lot of experience in this field. (Press Release)
Northwest Bio (OTC: NWBO)
NWBO has been the waiting game for investors like myself who have been keen on this company. NWBO has been in phase III trials for their CANCER VACCINE called D-VAX for 13 years. As of November, the top-line data has been locked and now we are just waiting to hear the results. But while we wait for the company let’s talk about some of the actions by the company leading up to today.
1.) Accerlatering its build-out for its manufacturing facility (link) for D-VAX
2.) Acquisition of Flaskwork (link) - Flaskwork is a company that specializes in developing a breakthrough system to close and automate the manufacturing of cell therapy products
Seems like the company is anticipating good results from TLD but it’s a question of when will we know?
TNSP - Humble Merger (TNSP: OTC)
OTC mergers have seemed to be the hot spot for the OTC market as of late and TNSP - Humbl Merger has the potential to be a great buy into 2021. Humbl Pay is a service similar to Paypal, Venmo, or Cash App. Currently, Humbl is used in Asia, Africa, South America and are looking to add North America soon.
The company uses blockchain technology in digital payments two hot areas to focus a company around going into 2021.
Genius Brands - GNUS
I may get some shit for this one but under $1.50 with over 100 million in cash with a blue-chip executive team, rights to Disney and Marvel characters. CEO Andy Heyward has talked about seeking a large acquisition on his Instagram. The pump to $12 was premature this one has growth coming.
Final Wrap up
